Squats with camera: framing, rhythm and games
Good placement of the iPhone helps the descent be recognized. The counter is not a substitute for a technique review and does not require you to force your depth.
Make the descent visible
Prop up your iPhone in front of you on a stable surface. Adjust the distance so the camera can detect your movement without you going out of frame. A light source behind you might obscure your joints; even lighting from the front usually makes tracking easier. Test a repetition before starting a timed challenge.
One drop, one action
Rift Crossing uses the downward movement to shift one lane over. Returning to the upright position prepares the next action but should not cause the character to move forward again. This rule allows you to wait before crossing: you aren't forced to keep squatting if cars are blocking the way.
Same exercise, different mechanics
In Tower Up the descent stops a block moving from side to side. Here it is important to align the block with the tower, not cross rails. Before each game you can choose squats or push-ups, depending on the movement you prefer that day.
What to check if the count fails
First, check the framing and lighting, and ensure only you are in the shot. Maintain a recognizable movement and return to the starting position before repeating. Do not make exaggerated or rapid gestures solely to trigger the game. If the problem persists, contact support, specifying your iPhone model and the mode used.
